Old Cattle Market Skatepark

Background

An exciting new facility, that includes a skatepark, parkour area and youth hub, set where north Cornwall's Old Cattle Market once sat.

The project, created by Freestyle Skateparks, includes the construction of what is believed to be North Cornwall’s first and only pump track and parkour area. There is also be a community café/youth hub, outside gym bars, a table tennis table and an extension to the existing skatepark that was built in September 2018.

The project was made possible by £125k funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This included £10,000 for a youth worker, £50k funding from Sport England, £25k funding from Saputo Dairy UK (formerly Dairy Crest) and £16k seed/match funding from Camelford Town Council (CTC).

Information

Safe space Mondays 3pm to 8pm.  Our Community Outreach Worker and Skate Coaches are up at the OCM skatepark for coaching and creative activities. Please contact vanessa.harrison@camelford-tc.gov.uk for more information.
